Ghosts is a radical tackling of taboos – incest, infidelity, euthanasia – as potent today as they were 140 years ago. Ibsen sets out a scathing commentary on gender inequality, middle class hypocrisy, and complicity.
Drawing strongly on the play’s historical context, this production unashamedly pitches Ibsen to a 2020 Australian audience with live and haunting electronica DJ soundscapes and projection combining with explosive
results.
